SSDs, in addition to four dedicated mounts for the latter behind the motherboard tray and on top of the PSU cover. The extra SSD trays snap onto the round holes of the power-supply shroud…or pretty much any other vent holes you can think of. This mid-tower is perfect for a minimalist build while keeping the process simple and intuitive, utilizing widened channels, hooks, straps, and toolless entry.

This case doesn’t differ a huge amount from the standard model, but for the exact same MSRP you get access to a design that has better airflow and cooling. There are dust filters all around the interior too, with the roof part sitting under the main panel and held in place using magnets. And while it definitely succeeds in keeping component temps under control, the low noise levels it maintains under load help elevate the H7 Flow to a level of PC case excellence. The NZXT H7 has some tough competition, namely the Corsair iCUE 5000T RGB, which is slightly larger (and heavier) but has more space inside for water cooling and larger motherboards. For a straightforward, clean, and modern-looking PC buildout that performs as well as it looks, the H7 Flow is just that simple, earning an Editors' Choice award among ATX mainstream chassis. Given the difficulty we’ve had fiddling with individual leads, we’d like to thank NZXT for getting with the times with that one-piece connector.

He's been involved in technology for more than a decade and knows a thing or two about the magic inside a PC chassis. Some PC builds are easier than others, and much of it comes down to the specific PC case you choose. If you are considering the H7, I would keep an eye on thermals, especially if you're planning to use a processor with a thermal design power (TDP) rating of 150W or higher. As we demonstrate in our video the three models of NZXT H7 are based on the same core chassis and they are defined by the front panel and the configuration of the fans. The H7 Flow hangs in with the HAF 500 for middling noise levels, beat only by the O11D EVO’s reduced fan set.

When I was building in the H7, I didn’t realize until I finished that only 25 minutes had passed, including time spent removing my hardware from the previous case. For the H510 series, NZXT started off by launching their standard H510, later launching their enhanced H510i model, and later their H510 Elite. At the bottom of NZXT’s H7 lineup is the standard H7, a model that features a plain front panel design that will be familiar to most NZXT users. For the optimized mode, we run the GPU fan speed at 30 % and run the CPU and included case fans at their lowest spinning speed.

After tidying the cables, I snapped the front and rear side panels back into place without any issues, so the tool-less side panel installation worked well. To see just how much of an improvement the NZXT H7 is compared to the older H710, we're going to be using the same testbench with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.However, with the bigger H7 Flow, there’s a ton of radiator space at the top, which we’ll elaborate on later. NZXT was generous enough two include two of its F120Q Airflow case fans with the H7 Flow, and while they’re 3-pin, they’re surprisingly excellent. The lack of a microphone front panel jack, and limited room for hard drives, may be an issue for some people, but not if you’re using a USB headset and SSDS. A smaller rectangular hole further back allows screwdriver access to the drive cage’s release screw. inch mounts aren’t even included in the H7 Flow’s official specs, as those specs instead refer to a second set of 2.
