Although we don’t have a Medium Oak Wood Stain in our range, we would recommend our Natural Oak Wood Stain as a great alternative. Ronseal Quick Drying Woodstain is an easy to apply woodstain that is rainproof in just 30 minutes, highly water repellent, resists cracking and peeling and protects the wood from the suns harmful UV rays. This ready-to-use interior Water-Based Wood Stain will penetrate deeply into the pores of the woods for an even and rich color. We imagine you have supplied the measurements of your window recess so we make deductions to ensure the blind will fit perfectly within these dimensions. This side table has been stained using our Natural Oak Wood Stain and then finished with our Extra Touch Interior Wood Varnish.

If the wood is freshly sawn, you may need to start with something more coarse such as 120g sandpaper and work your way up with the Sanding Pads. Coverage is excellent, being between 8 to 12 square meters per liter, depending on the size, orientation, moisture content and surface quality of the wood. Clear top-coats such as varnishes and oils often make white wood stains appear 'creamy' or 'off-white'.

If using a water-based top coat, apply the first coat thinly, passing over the surface with few strokes to avoid any lifting or dragging of the stain.

Minor runs will normally dry out evenly and should not be noticeable when the wood stain has fully dried. If the stain still looks splotchy, choose something a bit more opaque with fuller coverage rather than something more transparent. Please note: After applying Manns Wood Stain and before applying a varnish, oil or wax top-coat, it is essential that the surface of the wood is denibbed or lightly sanded. However, if you apply too much and it dries too dark, it is much harder to sand, strip and then re-stain the wood!The couriers can leave safe at your door, in a porch, garage, shed or back garden or with a neighbour on your street. Any colour can be lightened by adding in some of our white wood stain, or darkened by adding black wood stain or anyone of our dark wood stains. I invested in some very fine needle syringes and carefully squirted the stain down the cracks with most satisfactory results.
